Kim Maier – Kim’s Collage Creations My
name is Kim Maier and I have been a Laura Heine Certified
teacher for 4 years, and have found my true happiness. As a
teacher, I train Laura’s way, tried and true as she has been
doing it for 30+ years, with her amazing patterns, using the
most beautiful of fabrics in the kits that I make. I will
teach you all the tricks of the trade in order for you to go
home and, create your own pieces of art. This technique is
not just for those who sew but also for the ones who just
love crafts and, creating because it does not need to be
sewn at all. I will give you ideas for fun things to do with
your pieces that maybe you never thought of. I travel around to teach at shops, with guilds, and crafters' workshops but also with groups who just want to get together, and have some fun, in homes or wherever tables are available. You can check out some of my art at the Reno Marketplace in the Makers Paradise Room. I am truly blessed to be able to do what I love and also share it with others. It is like meditation because you can just let go and have some fun. I have since gone back to work more with Laura in Montana on a technique called Inktense for Collage. I am now an Advanced Certified Teacher and will continue to learn new things to show and make better the art of Collage.
