Paper Piecing - The Basics and The Next Step Room S2 Connie Spurlock

Learn the basics of paper piecing as you piece four traditional 8" square quilt blocks (pinwheel, bowtie, palm leaf, and Ohio star). Piecing these blocks will allow you to master the easy technique of paper piecing. These blocks can easily be made into a table runner or potholders. Additionally, we will include a pattern for Blocks in Motion, 26" x 26" beautiful wall hanging, piecing flying geese, pinwheels, and rolling star blocks.
Kit/handout Fee: $25 (Paid to the teacher in the classroom). Kit includes: Practice pattern/fabric; a pattern for Paper Pieced Quilt Blocks with fabrics for four blocks; the pattern for Blocks in Motion. A wooden quick press used in paper piecing as an "iron" and glue stick.
Student supply list: Basic sewing supplies; ruler, rotary cutter, and cutting mat.
* SEWING MACHINES ARE NOT PROVIDED IN THIS CLASS. Bring your own machine in good working order, pedal and cord.
Sewing Machine and Supply storage: For your convenience, we have available, free of charge temporary and overnight storage at the class registration desk located at Nevada Office 1, across the hall from classroom N5 on the lower level of the hotel.
