Join Cindy and learn how to quilt new and beautiful designs on your home machine! This is a fun class in which you'll learn to stitch six beautiful but simple background designs. You will find so many uses in your quilts for these fun and versatile fillers. In class, you'll make a mini wholecloth quilt with your newly-learned stitches and will be able to take it home as a reference for your next project.
Kit/handout Fee: $32 (Paid to the teacher in the classroom).
Kit includes: Quilter's sateen fabric for quilt top and backing, wool batting, 1 spool 100wt silk thread, 70/10 sewing machine needle, blue wash-away marker.
Student supply list: Sewing machine in top working order, owner's manual, several empty bobbins, walking foot, free motion quilting foot (preferably metal, not plastic), thread snips, masking tape, approximately 25 safety pins, paper and pencil for note taking, small bag for trash. Optional items: quilting gloves, Kwik Klip for closing safety pins.
* SEWING MACHINES ARE NOT PROVIDED IN THIS CLASS. Bring your own machine in good working order, pedal and cord.
Sewing Machine and Supply storage: For your convenience, we have available, free of charge temporary and overnight storage at the class registration desk located at Nevada Office 1, across the hall from classroom N5 on the lower level of the hotel.
