Slow down, relax, and enjoy sewing with English Paper Piecing (EPP)! A SUPER portable project where you can sew on this project anywhere! There are MANY different shapes that are used in creating designs with fabric and thread in EPP, and jewels are a FUN shape to sew by itself or with a hexagon center! Michele will teach you a quick and easy way to create the 3 EPP jewel projects! A short power point program on what you can make and do with jewels will be presented for inspiration.
* This is a technique class and this project will not be completed in class.
Kit/handout Fee: $18 (Paid to the teacher in the classroom). Kit includes: Fabric and all the templates for the 3 projects; and an instructional handout.
Student supply list: Hand sewing needle that is comfortable for you Small spool of cotton thread for basting (any color) A small spool of 100% cotton thread (medium or light grey Water soluble fabric glue stick (no craft glue sticks, please) Small rotary cutter; 1" x 6" ruler; and small cutting mat Small sharp pair of scissors (for fabric) *If needed or desired: Thimble; battery operated portable light.
