What DO you do with all those leftover scraps? Crumb quilts are the ultimate scrap fabric projects because you are using what you already have in order to create your own fabric! There is no one set way to use "crumbs" - the tiniest amounts of scraps (strips, squares, trimmed triangles, funky sizes, etc.) that you have - the ones you usually throw away because you don't know what to do with them! Remember, those crumbs (of fabric) cost just as much per yard as the original fabric you bought that they came from! Add fabric to connect your crumb quilted strips in different ways! Machine quilt each strip by sewing 1/4" multiple times on each side. Create any size quilt you want by adding more blocks horizontally and/or vertically!
*This is a technique class; you will create 1 - 2 blocks, but your quilt will not be completed in class.

Student supply list:
One gallon bag of crumb fabric - the more the merrier!
* Basically a combination of a variety of 100% cotton fabrics - fat quarters, jelly rolls, charm packs, 1/8 yard cuts - A variety of fabrics including florals, graphics, geometrics, calicoes, novelties, stripes, dots, checks, batiks, plaids, solids, neutrals, paisleys, and tonals
1 1/2 yards of fabric (OR twelve 12" squares of background fabric - all the same or different (1 per block)
One large spool of 100% cotton thread (light or medium grey)
*If desired: your own rotary cutter; acrylic ruler of your choice; and cutting mat

* SEWING MACHINES ARE NOT PROVIDED IN THIS CLASS. Bring your own machine in good working order, pedal and cord.
Sewing Machine and Supply storage: For your convenience, we have available, free of charge temporary and overnight storage at the class registration desk located at Nevada Office 1, across the hall from classroom N5 on the lower level of the hotel.
