Level: Intermediate Class Type: Hands-on Category: Domestic Machine Sewing Machine(s): Not required BERNINA Sewing Machines in this room are provided by Going Batty Quilt Shop.
Sometimes a garment, quilt, or project needs a little zing to add a spark or complete the look. Corded Piping in the right color & size is the solution. Learn how to make corded piping using the correct tools & feet on your sewing machine to make the task easier, quicker, and more precise. Use corded piping to build the block, finish the binding, or accent the embroidery. Whether finishing a quilt or working on garments, bags, and other crafts, corded piping is a solution to fine detail. The class is designed to work on samplers of a variety of corded piping techniques rather than a specific project while learning to make corded piping, corners, curves, a variety of sizes, double, and finishing details.
Kit/handout Fee: $25 (Paid to the teacher in the classroom). Kit includes: A variety of fabrics, a variety of cording, stabilizer or batting, instructions, and other surprises.
Student supply list: Basic sewing supplies (pins/clips, size 80 or 90 Machine needles, scissors for trimming or clipping), Piping Wizard if you have one (will be available in class for use), anything that makes your sewing easier.
