Ribaudo, known as Giucy Giuce, is a New York–born,
Portland‑based fabric designer and modern quilter.
Taught to sew by his Sicilian grandmother, he rediscovered
the craft in college and eventually moved into quilting and
textile design. After working in marketing and multimedia at
Andover Fabrics, he shifted fully into fabric design,
releasing collections such as Quantum, Nonna, and Sleuth.
He now designs fabric and patterns, lectures, and teaches

Giuseppe Ribaudo of Giucy Giuce designed his foundation paper pieced Mini Series with scrap busting in mind.
Join Giuseppe as he teaches you all the tips and tricks for tiny piecing success. These blocks are more than just cute little quilts. Use them to embellish bags and pockets, make holiday ornaments or coasters with them, frame them for your studio.... The possibilities are endless! You'll learn every trick Giuseppe has up his sleeve, from construction to fabric choices. This class is ALWAYS a blast! Don't be intimidated by the size of the piecing. You'll be amazed at what you can achieve with just a little courage. No prior FPP experience required.

Join Giuseppe Ribaudo of Giucy Giuce for Re, currently only available as a workshop. Re is a modular foundation paper pieced pattern in which the sewist decides what size blades (from 3 choices) they would like to use and also the frequency in which the blades appear, meaning you can choose to eliminate some blades entirely. Make the blades the same size, make them all different, leave spaces... This creates countless variations!
Giucy Giuce will share his tips and tricks for best practices when foundation paper piecing and sewing curves. Don't miss the chance to take this fun workshop!

Join Giuseppe Ribaudo of Giucy Giuce as he shows you everything you need to know to English paper piece with his newest pattern, Petunia.. Obsessed with all things hand sewing, this workshop will teach you the ins and outs of EPP. You'll learn all about fabric selection, techniques like fussy cutting and mirroring to create kaleidoscopic designs, and of course everything you need to know about basting and stitching your blocks.
The best part of the workshop is when we all get to sit and stitch together! This is a stress-free and super relaxing class that will make you fall in love with EPP.

Improv meets foundation paper piecing meets mystery quilt. Need I say more?! Join Giucy Giuce as he demonstrates his foundation paper pieced approach to improv sewing in this BRAND NEW workshop, Controlled Chaos: An FPPers Approach to improv!
We'll draw improvisational elements at random from a bag. You will then learn to draft your own improv-inspired FPP designs based off the mystery element. The motifs will be the same, but everyone's pieces will be uniquely their own! We’ll cover all sorts of looks and styles. Triangles, flying geese, stripes, wonky shapes. Whether you're an FPPer who loves the look of improv but longs for the structure of paper piecing, or you're an improv sewist looking for a new way to approach your work, this workshop truly has something for everyone.
In the workshop, we will make an 18" pillow top/mini quilt, but you will also receive an inspiration packet with ideas for using the technique to make a quilt. Bring an adventurous spirit to what is sure to be an exciting class you won't want to miss!
