I started sewing at age 8. By the time I was 12, I sewed all my own clothes. Thus began a 40+ career in ALL things Fiber, including 16 years as the owner of a full-service fabric store, which I opened at age 25.

I now design creative clothing patterns, upcycled garments, and fiber accessories that are easy to sew and FUN to wear. Piece them, quilt them, bead them, felt them- the possibilities are endless!

Bernina Sewing Machines are provided by Going Batty Quilt Shop in this room.

COZY, is a very loose-fitting pullover/jacket. It has a long collar that is partially attached in the back and a little in the front. The collar becomes similar to a scarf or can hang loosely in the front.

Great for beginners to advanced sewers. COZY is easy to sew and fits Misses Sizes 8-3X.

We will be using a Kantha quilt to create one COZY.

Kit/handout Fee: $45 (Paid to the teacher in the classroom).
Kit includes: COZY pattern with pattern pieces.

Student supply list:
One twin-size Kantha quilt 60" x 90". You can use a larger quilt, but there will be leftovers ( I never mind that, as I can give you lots of ideas for the scraps). Sewing supplies, including sewing scissors (for cutting out the pieces), pins, thread, etc. Walmart.com (online only) sells nice quality Kantha, or email me: hmemmett@gmail.com and we can chat about it.

Bernina Sewing Machines are provided by Going Batty Quilt Shop in this room.
