Insert a zipper—3 different ways. Have you ever inserted a zipper in a bag with a single piece of zipper + the pull? Shown on left, there’s no stop in the middle making a nice clean finishing detail. The basic lapped zipper, shown in the middle, is easier than you think when you know this trick. Make a statement with a semi-exposed zipper, shown on right. Insert a mixed color zipper—I’ll show you how—with decorative stitches. This idea is suitable for garments or bags. Plus lots of tips & tricks to make stitching zippers a breeze.

Kit/handout Fee: $25 (Paid to the teacher in the classroom).
Kit includes: 3 zippers, fabrics, instructions to make 3 projects

Student supply list: Bring basic sewing supplies, basic sewing thread black & decorative multi-colored thread (color not so important).

SEWING MACHINES ARE NOT PROVIDED. Bring your own sewing machine in good working order, pedal and cord.

Package and Sewing machine storage: For your convenience, we have available, free of charge temporary and overnight storage at the registration desk located at the Atlantis Hotel Resort Grand Ballroom, in front of classroom #4, on the 2nd Floor.
