The assortment of threads available nowadays is enormous. It is sometimes puzzling to know what goes where on the machine. Discover new ways to have fun with threads. Some go in the needle, some go in the bobbin, while others lay on top of the fabric and go in a foot. There are special ways to handle threads no matter what the weight or texture. In this techniques class, become more friendly with your machine as you experiment with needle threads, couching threads, yarns, double needle and more. Discover the best feet to use for each process. The class will be spent fine tuning techniques. The new "artwork" can later be made into a wall hanging, table display, handbag, or incorporated into a garment. The possibilities are endless. The results so much fun. Come join the adventure!
Kit/handout Fee: $30 (Paid to the teacher in the classroom).
Kit includes: Fabric, stabilizer, bobbin thread, Poly Sheen, Blendables, Dazzle, Ribbon, Top Stitch Needle, Double Needle and more.
Student supply list: Machine Feet--Open Toe Applique, Braiding or Couching Foot, Multi-Hole Couching. Basic sewing supplies--small scissors, pins, marking tools. Anything that makes your sewing easier.
SEWING MACHINES ARE NOT PROVIDED. Bring your own machine in good working order, pedal and cord.
Package & Sewing machine storage is available temporarily and overnight, free of charge at the show information desk inside the Convention Center located on the second floor of the hotel.
