Scrappy Chickens Collage Room N1 Jane Haworth Thu. June 11, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Level: All Levels Class Type: Hands-on Category: Collage Techniques Machine(s): Not required
Using a bag (quart or gallon!) of your scrap fabrics, create a brightly colored, chicken collage. This is an easy and fun project transforming a regular-looking hen into something cheerful and unexpected. The chicken is about 12-15" with a few different patterns to choose from.
Kit/handout Fee: None Kit includes: None
Student supply list:
Fabrics: A variety of plain and patterned pieces of fabric in colors suitable for a chicken. You can choose regular colors or bright, abstract colors, or a single color palette. Bring red fabrics for the face and something unexpected for the feet. You only need small pieces, scraps work great. I encourage sharing or community fabrics. I provide a choice of patterns. I choose my background fabric after the collage is made but you might want to consider this.
Fabric Collage Supplies: Aleene's Original Tacky Glue, or other fabric glue, or a small glue bottle with a needle applicator. A small container to hold glue and a glue spreader. [I do sell these for $1) Toothpick, or coffee stirrer works. Fabric scissors and good small sharp scissors for cutting fabric. I use Karen Kay Buckley 6" perfect scissors. Pencil Chalk marking pencil or tool. I like the Bohin chalk pencil (red colored, thicker one). Small trash bag for scraps. Optional: Tweezers. Optional: Battery-operated Light box or pad. Optional: Painter's tape, I will have some available. SKU #: 302TH Thu. June 11, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
