Poppies Fabric Collage

An introduction to fabric collage using Haworth's poppy patterns. This small project is the perfect canvas for adding hand stitching and beading. Learn a simple, forgiving collage technique and simple embroidery stitches.
Kit/handout Fee: $30 (Paid to the teacher in the classroom).
Kit includes: Fabrics, Neutral background and Batting, Pellon 830, Pattern, Threads, and Needle.
Student supply list:
Fabric Glue Stick (Elmer's, 505, Quilters Select) or light fabric glue or a small glue bottle with needle applicator.
Fabric scissors and good, small, sharp scissors for cutting fabric. I use Karen Kay Buckley 6" perfect scissors.
Pencil
Chalk marking pencil or tool. I like the Bohin chalk pencil (red colored, thicker one). Small trash bag for scraps.
Optional: Tweezers, Battery-operated Light box, or pad.
Optional: Painter's tape, I will have some available.
Optional: Hand stitching supplies, like a thimble you like to use, and extra threads.
Bring extra scraps or small pieces of fabric for more choice options.
