Organizing Color in Scrap Quilts Room N5 Karen Stone Fri. June 16, 2:30 PM - 5:30 PM
Level: All levels Class Type: Hands-on Category: Other Machine(s): Not required
Color and fabric selection, while the most personal and expressive aspects of making quilts, can also be the most intimidating, especially at first. Karen will relate her passage from mouse to goddess, share confidence building palette skills, and explore interpretive possibilities from your shopping bag. Kit/handout Fee: $10 (Paid to the teacher in the classroom). Kit includes: Paper, freezer paper, template material, knife, glue, and class notes.
Student supply list: Some fabric! 20 or more (more is definitely more) fat quarters (or equivalent) No need to organize ahead or overthink this - it's fine to randomly grab things you love. It's great if you: bring things neatly folded, include things you love but are afraid to cut, or just bring your shopping bag! It's less great if you bring only one designer line or genre of fabrics (like all Tula pink or all batiks). Our goal is to find YOUR voice by working these wonderful things into a context of things you love.
Kit/handout Fee: None Kit includes: None
