One Block Wonders with Panels Quilt Cindy Myers Wed. June 9, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Join Cindy in learning how to use panels for your One Block Wonder Quilts. Using seven panels, you will learn how to cut six of the panels to make your hexagons then design your quilt using the seventh panel as the focal point of your design. Cindy has kits available using small pillow panels that work well in learning the process and you should be able to cut, sew and start designing your quilt in class. She will also show you different ways to incorporate your focal panel into your quilt. Kit/handout Fee: $11 (Paid to the teacher in the classroom). Kit includes: Handout, 7 small panels
Student supply list: Sewing Machine in good working order, don't forget you cord and foot pedal. Basic sewing supplies Rotary cutting supplies with a large 18x24 mat 6x12 and/or 6x24 rulers Light grey thread Small 60-degree triangle ruler- I will have these available in class for purchase. Small flannel backed table cloth for design wall Blue painters' tape Flat head flower pins Small travel iron and ironing mat (optional, but recommended)
SEWING MACHINES ARE NOT PROVIDED. Bring your own machine in good working order, pedal and cord.
Package & Sewing machine storage is available temporarily and overnight, free of charge at the show information desk in the lobby of the Convention Center located on the second floor of the hotel.
