Lattice Piecing Grand Ballroom 6 Linda McGehee Thu. June 9, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Level: Intermediate Class Type: Hands-on Category: Domestic Machine Sewing (Piecing) Machine(s): Sewing Machine required
Many designers use templates for their quilts and build them into a larger piece. With lattice piecing, larger pieces of fabric are cut and assembled, shuffling the pieces as they are re-stitched to form unique patterns. Use 4 or 5 contrasting fabrics of lights, mediums and darks to create a one of kind masterpiece that can later be incorporated into a garment, wall hanging, or table runner. Kit/handout Fee: $10 (Paid to the teacher in the classroom). Kit includes: Printed instructions for Lattice Piecing.
Student supply list: 5 - 1 yd pieces of fabrics. Could be all solids in contrasting colors. Could be combination of prints and solids. Basic sewing supplies - appropriate thread for piecing, scissors, thread clips, fabric marker, pins, ruler, rotary cutter, mat, anything that makes your sewing easier.
SEWING MACHINES ARE NOT PROVIDED. Bring your own sewing machine in good working order, pedal and cord.
Package and Sewing machine storage: For your convenience, we have available, free of charge temporary and overnight storage at the registration desk located at the Atlantis Hotel Resort Grand Ballroom, in front of classroom #4, on the 2nd Floor.
