Who doesn't LOVE feathers? You can utilize feathers anywhere on a quilt. In your sashing, in your borders, or free-floating in a block. In this class you will learn the following:
1. Anatomy of a feather.
2. How to angle and shape the plume.
3. How to maneuver the plumes through inside and outside corners.
4. How apply the "bump back" method.
5. How to achieve size and shape consistency.
6. Connecting feathers as you advance the quilt for a seamless transition.
Heidi has developed a feather formula that is easy to follow and apply.
Kit/handout Fee: $20 (Paid to the teacher in the classroom).
Kit includes: Practice quilt sandwich will be pre-marked and pre-loaded onto the machine. Thread and bobbins and hand-outs.
Student supply list: Thread Snips, Pen and paper, Fabric Marking Pen (personal choice ok) and a Camera/phone to take pictures.
This class is a hands-on, stand-up longarm class. Two students per machine head. The skills taught in this class can be used on any longarm where the machine moves attached to a stationary frame.
