Do you love but avoid the traditional one-patch? Handwork is wonderful, but let's explore Karen's original innovative machine technique, useful for any pattern that would be English paper pieced, without compromising the integrity of the original. We begin with hexagons, then explore some other possibilities. You'll enjoy having this in your bag of tricks!

Kit/handout Fee: $10 (Paid to the teacher in the classroom).
Kit includes:
Pattern sheets, a knife, glue, template material, and English Paper Piecing papers.

Student supply list:
10-15 fat quarters (or equivalent) from stash, some of which should read solid. Also, fabric scissors, rotary cutter, mat & ruler, straight pins, small iron, and pad, spray fabric sizing, pin-able ironing personal ironing board (pins will stand straight up during use - a wool one, covered to protect from starch or June Tailor Cushioned Quilter's Square 'n Blocker from JoAnn) Personal craft iron, optional. Also, bring any EPP UFO you'd like to continue or any papers you'd like to explore this way. Machines are not needed! We will glue-baste very adequately, and fully discuss stitching for later.
